IIE Nikah Guidelines
- Application Submission: A completed Nikah Application Form must be submitted at least two weeks before the requested date.
- Marriage License: A valid marriage license from the relevant county/state must be presented prior to the Nikah ceremony.
- Wali Requirement: The bride’s Wali (legal guardian) must be present. If the Wali cannot attend, a written authorization for the appointed Wakeel is required.
- Witnesses: Two Muslim adult male witnesses are required for the Nikah. Their full legal names must be provided in the application.
- Mahr Agreement: The amount and type of Mahr (dowry) must be mutually agreed upon by both parties and documented. If undecided, it must be finalized before the Nikah.
- Timing: Weekday Nikahs may only be scheduled after school hours (5:00 PM or later).
- Conduct: All attendees must observe Islamic etiquette in dress, speech, and behavior throughout the ceremony.
- Ceremony Location: The Nikah must be held at the approved IIE premises unless otherwise authorized.
- Fee: A $500 Nikah Service Fee is required. The booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
- Punctuality: All parties and witnesses must arrive on time to avoid delays or possible rescheduling.
- Right to Refuse: IIE reserves the right to decline or postpone a Nikah if requirements are not met.
